Job Description

  • Opportunity to develop into an Account Director style role and mentor junior colleagues.  
  • Service a portfolio of high-end clients in the financial lines space.
  • $130,000 - $140,000 base plus superannuation and generous bonus plan.  
The Company:
Our client is a highly regarded insurance brokerage in the midmarket general insurance industry. We are currently seeking an experienced Manager to head up the team in the Professional Lines area. We need a candidate that is across all lines of insurance, but it is crucial you understand and are confident with Financial Lines as this will make up most of your portfolio.
At a high level this candidate will be a true all-rounder and have excellent relationship skills to maintain existing alliances with clients and negotiate deals across the lines.
  
The Role:
As an Account Manager you will be reporting directly into the NSW State Manager. You will be required to:
  • Service a portfolio of high-end clients in the financial lines space.
  • Day to day you will be focused on strategically developing and planning with your clients and working closely with junior colleagues to achieve outcomes.
  • We need a candidate who is strong at both placement and account servicing.
  • You will be dealing with a mixed portfolio so confidence across all lines of insurance is crucial.
  
Skills and Experience:
We are seeking an Account Manager who ideally had the below:
  • Proven experience in a broking role, we would also consider a candidate who is a Senior Account Executive and ready to take the step up in being an Account Manager.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, we need someone who is concise, direct, and emotionally intelligent to understand the clients wants and needs.
  • Confident managing top end corporate level business models.
  • Crucial that this candidate understands thoroughly all lines on financial lines, financial institutions, engineers and listed DNO.
  • Comfortable providing clear and concise strategic support to junior members of the team.
