Your New Role

As a credit/collections officer, you will be reporting into credit team leader and working with a wider team of 15. You will:

  • Provide quality customer service to the Accounts Receivable team in Collections, Banking, Credit Applications, and other required functions.
  • Collect outstanding debts on the assigned ledger.
  • Act as a team player and collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders within the business.
  • Telephone work
  • Take action on all outgoing telephone and email communications regarding outstanding debt on the assigned ledgers.
  • Respond in a timely manner to phone messages from customers or internal staff.
  • Escalate queries/collection problems to the Credit Manager.
  • Record all Notes in Customer Maintenance.
  • Monitor accounts for Reminder and Demand emails/letters.
  • Recommend accounts for Notice of Intention to Sue emails/letters.
  • Review and release orders on Hold as needed.
  • Ensure Customer Information is current and reflects accurate entity names, contact details, addresses, and contact numbers.
  
What you’ll need to succeed  

  • 1-2 years credit/collections experience
  • Proactive, ‘can do’ attitude – detail oriented and energetic.
  • Ideally have access to a vehicle
