As a credit/collections officer, you will be reporting into credit team leader and working with a wider team of 15. You will:
- Provide quality customer service to the Accounts Receivable team in Collections, Banking, Credit Applications, and other required functions.
- Collect outstanding debts on the assigned ledger.
- Act as a team player and collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders within the business.
- Telephone work
- Take action on all outgoing telephone and email communications regarding outstanding debt on the assigned ledgers.
- Respond in a timely manner to phone messages from customers or internal staff.
- Escalate queries/collection problems to the Credit Manager.
- Record all Notes in Customer Maintenance.
- Monitor accounts for Reminder and Demand emails/letters.
- Recommend accounts for Notice of Intention to Sue emails/letters.
- Review and release orders on Hold as needed.
- Ensure Customer Information is current and reflects accurate entity names, contact details, addresses, and contact numbers.
What you’ll need to succeed
- 1-2 years credit/collections experience
- Proactive, ‘can do’ attitude – detail oriented and energetic.
- Ideally have access to a vehicle
