The Position

The key objectives are to maintain data on the in-house reinsurance administration system ensuring accurate and timely processing of both reinsurance data files and corresponding premium payments.
  • Data analysis of reinsurance data files to ensure adherence to treaty terms, processing of reinsurance data files and corresponding premium payments, business testing and providing accurate and timely information to internal and external stakeholders in relation to the reinsurance data files;
  • Regular contact with clients to ensure premiums and data are received on time;
  • Analyse statistical movements and premium splits between different products and provide explanation on the movements as required;
  • Conduct premium calculations;
  • Assist with implementation, mapping and documentation of new clients
 Skills, Experience and Qualifications Required:
  • At least 2-3 years life insurance or reinsurance administration experience.
  • Tertiary qualification in an analytical related field - Actuarial, Statistics or Accounting
  • Advanced skills in Excel and Access
  • SQL or VBA experience an advantage
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Analysis skills, critical thinking and an affinity for numbers and details essential
  • Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and multi-task
