You:
Prior experience in commercial lines/package business, and even better if you have some exposure to the rural sector as well. As mentioned above, this Business is growing so this role will best suit someone who is adaptable and can manage in a bit of chaos.

Responsibilities as a Senior Underwriter:
- Coach and proactively share information and knowledge to assist team members in the Underwriting team
- Present, on behalf of the Underwriting team, product updates and underwriting improvements to the Commercial team and Claims
- Demonstrate a teamwork culture and take accountability to ensure the customer experience meets the Company values
- Underwrite complex agricultural risks within authority limits for existing clients and potential clients
- Provide input into changes to underwriting procedures and processes designed to improve underwriting efficiencies
- Analyse new and renewal business, data, claim history, loss experience, and outcome of liability decisions
- Provide the underwriting advice for Product development activities

- Underwrite agricultural risks within authority limits for existing clients and potential clients
- Analyse new and renewal business, data, claim history, loss experience, and outcome of liability decisions
- Assess and make recommendations on agricultural risks for clients and potential clients
- Build and maintain supportive relationships with internal and external customers
- Provide telephone advice on underwriting for the Commercial team, Product Specialist and customers, ensuring escalations
are dealt with and recorded promptly - Adopt ownership for designated work as well as a customer focused and team approach across the Company
