The Company

An opportunity has arisen with an Australian company backed by a globally successful insurance provider. With a strong client base in combination with experienced commercial growth, this company is now looking to broaden their risk team with the addition of a Senior Underwriter.

The Role

As a Senior Underwriter you will:

• Underwrite complex agricultural risks within authority limits for existing and potential clients
• Analyze new and renewal business, data, claim history, loss experience, and outcome of liability decisions
• Build and maintain supportive relationships with internal and external customers
• Provide input into changes to underwriting procedures and processes designed to improve underwriting efficiencies
• Maintain an awareness of general and facultative reinsurance arrangements and their applicability to potential risks
• Proactively share information and knowledge to assist team members in the Underwriting team

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience in domestic, commercial or specialty lines
• Desire to contribute to a developing insurer
• Excellent opportunity for an experienced Underwriter wanting to step into a Senior role. Alternatively, this role could suit a Senior Underwriter looking to join a growing company.
