The Company:
Our client is one of the biggest insurance brokerages, worldwide this role is specializing in the mid-market space across all lines of insurance. We are seeking a dedicated Team Leader to join a high performing team based out of Melbourne CBD. We are looking for a dynamic and progressive professional to drive a team, look after a small portfolio / assist colleagues throughout the process and bring on new business for the team to help grow the overall portfolio for this vertical. 
We are seeking an all-rounder with excellent relationship skills, structured sales process, with high emotional intelligence, with the ability to educate and grow staff members, collaborate and set and example. Open to speaking with candidates who are in a senior broking role or leadership position already.
  
The Role:
As a Team Leader you will be required to:
  • Develop and servicing a small commercial book of varied clients and help colleagues with certain accounts and placements. 
  • Day to Day you will be focusing on strategizing and growing key clients, driving team KPIs and targets, mentoring and providing training for the team, prospecting and driving new business and executing this with the team. 
  • You will be dealing with a mixed profile so confidence across all lines of insurance is crucial.
  • Comfortable with high touch point relationships, attention to detail and placing value on internal process to develop and set the example for the team. 
  • This role has 7 direct reports of client managers looking after portfolios between $500k-$1mill in income. 
  • Engage in the wider leadership team, provide thought leadership, host and engage in collaboration sessions with your team. 
  
Skills and Experience:
We are seeking a senior account manager with the following skills and experience for the role:
  • Proven experience in a broking role in the insurance space. We are seeking a confident senior account manager with excellent people management skills and ideally management experience even in a mentoring capacity. 
  • Technical verbal and written language with high emotional intelligence to connect and understand clients potential pain points and risks.
  • Confident managing all account sizes from 10k-150k in income.
  • Crucial that you are knowledgeable across all lines of insurance.
  • Thorough new business process in prospecting and engaging new clients. 
  • Time-Management, ability to manage certain broking duties ontop of team management. 
  • Proven track record of meeting KPIs and delegating duties throughout the team.
  •  Emotional intelligence to engage with the team according to their management style and ability to hold accountability for the team and drive their success and identify areas for upskilling and training.
