The Role
  • Responsible for overall operational effectiveness of Claims processes
  • Achieve best practice by planning, developing and implementing claims procedures and strategies
  • Authorise payments and denials within established authority limits
  • Investigate and review escalated claims
  • Assure compliance with all legal, regulatory and internal control requirements
  • Drive the performance management process by communicating expectations, monitoring and evaluating performance, providing feedback and facilitating employee development.
About You
  • Proven leadership experience in Life Insurance in either the Group or Retail space
  • Strong technical understanding of the Life Insurance market and products
  • Proficient with the use of Microsoft Excel and software packages 
  • Self-sufficient and self-motivated
  • Able to demonstrate initiative and problem solving skills
  • Ability to provide guidance and direction to teams and individuals
  • Capable of inspiring, encouraging and empowering others
