My client is hiring an experienced Account Manager within the insurance broking sector to take full ownership of a diverse client portfolio, including SME, mid-market, and some corporate accounts. This role is responsible for driving growth, retention, and optimisation of the portfolio while delivering exceptional service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver an exceptional standard of customer service across all interactions – phone, email, and face-to-face.
- Develop a deep understanding of clients’ industries, businesses, and operational requirements.
- Build and strengthen client relationships, with a strong emphasis on face-to-face engagement.
- Maintain and enhance relationships with insurers and other key stakeholders.
- Conduct thorough risk reviews for all clients.
- Ensure strict compliance with insurance regulatory standards, policies, and guidelines.
- Educate clients on their insurance products and coverage, providing tailored solutions where necessary.
- Process new business, renewals, amendments, endorsements, and certificates of currency using multiple broking platforms.
- Identify and convert growth opportunities within the existing portfolio to meet financial targets.
- Monitor portfolio performance and provide regular reporting.
- Develop and execute strategies for new business acquisition within insurance broking.
- Manage claims in collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Maintain debtor profiles in line with company standards.
- Seek opportunities to improve broking processes for greater efficiency.
- Commit to ongoing professional development and maintain CPD requirements.
- Attend industry and networking events to promote my client’s value proposition.
- Coordinate and manage workload of direct reports, providing mentoring and support.
- Advanced knowledge of insurance broking principles, products, services, and claims processes.
