About the Opportunity

Kennedy Reid is partnering with one of Australia's leading financial services organisations to recruit a friendly, professional and customer-focused Bank Teller / Customer Service Officer to join their branch team in Echuca.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, delivering exceptional customer service and building meaningful relationships within the local community.
Whether you have previous banking experience or come from a strong retail, hospitality or customer service background, we would love to hear from you!

The Role

As a Bank Teller / Customer Service Officer, you will be the welcoming face of the branch, assisting customers with their everyday banking needs while ensuring a positive and professional experience.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing friendly, efficient and professional face-to-face customer service.
  • Assisting customers with everyday banking enquiries and transactions.
  • Processing deposits, withdrawals and other financial transactions accurately.
  • Handling cash and maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  • Supporting customers with digital banking services and self-service options.
  • Identifying customer needs and referring suitable banking products and services to relevant team members.
  • Building positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Following banking procedures, privacy requirements and compliance standards.
  • Contributing to a supportive and high-performing branch environment.

About You

We are looking for someone who is approachable, reliable and genuinely passionate about helping customers.

To be successful, you will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in customer service, retail sales, hospitality, banking or a similar customer-facing environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A friendly, confident and professional presentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle transactions accurately.
  • Experience handling cash or processing payments (highly regarded).
  • Confidence using computers and learning new systems.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to assist customers.
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Availability to work part-time hours within branch operating requirements.
  • Full Australian working rights.

Previous banking experience is advantageous but not essential. We encourage applications from candidates with strong retail, customer service or cash-handling backgrounds who are looking to develop their careers in financial services.

What's on Offer?

  • Competitive hourly rate of $36.81 + superannuation.
  • Part-time opportunity offering 19.5 hours per week.
  • Opportunity to gain valuable experience with a major Australian banking organisation.
  • Supportive and professional team environment.
  • Exposure to banking operations, financial products and customer service.
  • An opportunity to build your experience within the financial services industry.
