Banking / Financial Services experience is essential
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Finance Manager, Senior Finance Analyst, FP&A Manager or Finance Business Partner to join one of Australia's leading financial services organisations on an initial 9-month maternity leave contract .
This is not a traditional Finance Manager position.
We're looking for a commercially minded finance professional with strong technical capability who enjoys working with large banking datasets, analytics, automation and regulatory reporting .
You'll join a high-performing Finance team supporting enterprise-wide regulatory reporting while partnering closely with Finance, Risk, Data and Technology stakeholders to deliver meaningful commercial and regulatory insights.
About the Role Reporting into an experienced Finance leadership team, you will:
- Analyse large and complex banking datasets using SQL and Python
- Support enterprise regulatory reporting and reporting governance
- Deliver meaningful financial and commercial insights through data analysis
- Build and enhance dashboards using Power BI or similar visualisation tools
- Perform variance analysis, identify trends and investigate reporting anomalies
- Partner with Finance, Risk, Treasury, Data and Technology teams
- Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives
- Improve reporting controls, governance and data quality
- Support knowledge transfer during a structured maternity leave handover
Essential
- Experience within Banking, Financial Services, Wealth Management, Insurance or Superannuation
- Intermediate to Advanced SQL (mandatory)
- Hands-on Python experience within Finance, Reporting or Data Analytics (mandatory)
- Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, management reporting or regulatory reporting
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving capability
- Experience interpreting complex financial data and delivering business insights
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- APRA or Regulatory Reporting experience
- Power BI, Tableau or similar data visualisation tools
- Finance transformation or reporting automation experience
- Lending, Mortgages, Treasury or Business Banking product knowledge
- CA, CPA or equivalent qualification
- Initial 9-month contract with potential extension
- $609 per day + Super
