The Role
- Manage WorkCover and Income Protection claims end-to-end, ensuring cases move forward proactively.
- Coordinate sustainable return-to-work plans by liaising with doctors, insurers, and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor sick leave patterns to identify early intervention opportunities and prevent claim escalation.
- Liaise with insurance providers and legal partners to manage complex or escalated claims.
- Support People Leaders in navigating sensitive cases, particularly those involving mental health.
- Ensure strict compliance with all state-based workers compensation legislative requirements.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and complete necessary administrative tasks to support the HR function.
- Facilitate regular updates to the broader HR team to ensure alignment on case management progress.
- Minimum experience in injury management, workers compensation, or return-to-work coordination.
- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (WHS).
- Strong technical knowledge of WorkCover legislation across multiple Australian states.
- Confident communication style with the ability to remain objective and influence outcomes.
- Mental health qualifications or prior experience within financial and professional services.
