Our client is a specialist insurance brokerage with a strong reputation in the Financial Lines space. They are looking to add a Junior Broker to their growing Sydney team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an insurance professional from either a claims or underwriting background or even someone from financial services looking to transition career.
The Opportunity Working alongside experienced brokers and industry specialists, you’ll gain exposure to a broad range of Financial Lines and General Lines products and develop your technical, broking and client management skills.
You’ll be involved in:
- Supporting brokers with the management of a portfolio of Financial Lines clients
- Assisting with new business and renewal processes
- Preparing submissions, quotes and policy documentation
- Liaising with insurers and underwriters to negotiate appropriate coverage
- Assisting with client enquiries and day-to-day account management
- Reviewing policy wordings and identifying key coverage considerations
- Developing strong relationships with clients, insurers and other stakeholders
- Building your technical knowledge across the Financial Lines market
We’re particularly interested in hearing from candidates with 1–3 years’ experience in general insurance, including those currently working in:
- Claims, particularly within Financial Lines, Professional Indemnity, D&O or related areas
- Underwriting, ideally within Financial Lines or a related class
- Junior broking or broking support
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A good understanding of insurance principles
- Excellent attention to detail
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach
- The ability to build strong relationships
- A genuine interest in Financial Lines and insurance broking
- A willingness to learn and develop technically
