An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Key Account Manager to join a global technology and engineering organisation supporting one of Australia's largest telecommunications providers.
This is not a traditional sales role.
You will take ownership of a major strategic telecommunications account, building executive-level relationships, driving account growth, identifying new opportunities and partnering closely with delivery and technical teams to ensure exceptional client outcomes.
We are seeking a commercially astute account leader with deep telecommunications industry experience who can operate confidently across both business and technical stakeholders.
This role is ideally suited to candidates currently working with leading Telco organisations
The Opportunity
As the Key Account Manager, you will:
- Lead and grow a major enterprise telecommunications account
- Develop and execute strategic account growth plans
- Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders
- Identify, qualify and convert new business opportunities within existing accounts
- Drive revenue growth and profitability
- Manage commercial negotiations, tenders and contract discussions
- Coordinate closely with delivery, engineering and presales teams
- Conduct regular executive governance and steering committee meetings
- Forecast client requirements and future business opportunities
- Act as the primary escalation and relationship point for the client
To be successful, you will demonstrate:
- 10+ years' experience in telecommunications account management, client management or enterprise sales
- Strong understanding of mobile and fixed network environments
- Proven experience managing large, complex enterprise accounts
- Strong commercial and business development capability
- Demonstrated success achieving and exceeding revenue targets
- Experience engaging with senior executives and decision-makers
- Outstanding stakeholder management and negotiation skills
- Ability to influence both internally and externally
- Strong strategic thinking and account planning capability
