The Company

An established commercial law firm with a high-performing Corporate and Commercial practice is seeking an experienced Senior Legal Assistant to support the Managing Partner in a true 1:1 role. The firm offers hybrid work options once you are up to speed, with a centrally located Melbourne CBD office.

The Role
As a Senior Legal Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
  • High-level 1:1 support to the Managing Partner, including proactive diary and inbox management, meeting coordination, agendas and minutes
  • Drafting and finalising correspondence and legal documents, plus direct client liaison and handling inbound inquiries
  • File and matter administration, opening and closing files, accurate billing and timesheet support, and general administrative tasks
  • Preparing leases, vendor statements and contracts of sale, assembling section 32s, and arranging rate and planning certificates
  • Conducting company and title searches, and managing PEXA, InfoTrack and ASIC tasks as required
You
  • To succeed in this role, you will bring:
  • Prior experience in a legal environment, ideally within commercial or property matters
  • Practical exposure to PEXA, InfoTrack and ASIC processes, and confidence preparing leases and section 32 documentation
  • Advanced MS Word, Excel and Outlook skills, strong typing speed, and exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, strong time management, and the ability to anticipate stakeholder needs
  • A proactive, reliable and discreet approach, with the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
