We are currently partnering with a highly respected not-for-profit organisation based in Western Sydney that is seeking an experienced Payroll & Accounts Officer to join their team immediately during a critical period of operational support and growth.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with strong SCHADS Award experience who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys working within purpose-driven organisations making a genuine impact in the community.

The Role

Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for supporting end-to-end payroll and Accounts operations across a complex workforce environment.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Processing end-to-end payroll accurately and on time (Fortnightly, up to 150-200 employees)
  • Interpreting and applying the SCHADS Award confidently and accurately ( non-negotiable)
  • Managing payroll queries from employees and stakeholders
  • Processing leave, timesheets, terminations, adjustments and superannuation
  • Supporting payroll compliance and reporting requirements
  • Assisting with payroll reconciliations and process improvements
  • Working closely with finance and HR teams during a busy operational period
  • Assist with AP/AR and Reconciliations 
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring:
  • Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing and operational accounting. 
  • Strong hands-on experience with the SCHADS Award
  • Exposure to not-for-profit, healthcare, community services or disability sectors highly regarded
  • High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to start immediately or at short notice
  • A proactive, team-oriented and adaptable approach
