The Opportunity
This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join a globally recognised consulting firm at a pivotal stage of growth in Australia.
Supporting the Australia Country Leader , you will play a key role in establishing and running the Sydney office , while working closely with senior stakeholders across Asia and globally.
This is far more than a traditional EA or Office Manager role — offering exposure to business development, client engagement, and strategic initiatives , making it ideal for a commercially minded EA looking to step into a broader, high-impact position.
The Role
This is a hands-on, multifaceted role where you will act as the central point of coordination for the Sydney office, combining executive support with operational and commercial responsibilities.
Executive Support
- Provide high-level support to the Australia Country Leader, including complex diary, travel, and expense management
- Coordinate across multiple time zones with global stakeholders
- Support onboarding of senior hires and visiting executives
- Play an active role in supporting business development and client engagement initiatives
- Prepare high-quality pitch materials, presentations, and research briefs (company, stakeholders, competitors)
- Partner closely with senior stakeholders on client meetings, proposals, and strategic initiatives
- Track and maintain lead pipelines and reporting for the Australia team
- Coordinate high-profile client events, meetings, and marketing initiatives
- Take ownership of the day-to-day running of the Sydney office (serviced office environment)
- Manage vendors, facilities, and overall workplace experience
- Act as the key point of contact for all office-related matters
- Manage expenses, invoicing, and payment processes (Concur or similar)
- Support billing coordination and financial administration
- Coordinate onboarding/offboarding and support recruitment processes
- Assist with HR-related administration and employee initiatives
- Play a key role in building a high-performing and collaborative office culture
You are a high-calibre Executive Assistant or Office Manager who thrives in fast-paced, professional services environments and enjoys being close to the commercial side of the business.
You will bring:
- 8+ years' experience in a senior EA, Office Manager, or hybrid role
- Background in consulting, investment banking, private equity, or professional services
- Proven experience supporting senior stakeholders (C-suite / Partners / MD level)
- Exposure to business development, client engagement, or pitch preparation
- Strong ability to manage competing priorities and operate autonomously
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with exceptional attention to detail
- Confidence to take ownership and contribute beyond traditional EA responsibilities
