They are now seeking an experienced Workers’ Compensation & Injury Management Specialist to join their Work Health and Safety team and play a key role in supporting injured workers to recover and return to meaningful work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end workers’ compensation claims, primarily within the NSW scheme
- Coordinate recovery at work plans and suitable duties in collaboration with key stakeholders
- Support injured workers through empathetic, proactive case management
- Conduct workplace and ergonomic assessments and recommend modifications
- Liaise with treating practitioners, insurers and scheme agents
- Maintain accurate and confidential case notes and records
- Deliver workers’ compensation and injury management training
- Analyse injury and recovery data to support continuous improvement
You will bring:
- Proven experience managing complex workers’ compensation claims (NSW essential)
- Strong communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Ability to resolve conflict and manage return-to-work barriers collaboratively
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- A values-driven approach aligned with Wesley Mission’s purpose
- Tertiary qualification in a health-related discipline (e.g. OT, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology)
- Completion of SIRA Return to Work Coordinator training
- Strong working knowledge of the NSW workers’ compensation scheme
