Our client, a well-established and highly regarded insurance brokerage, is seeking an experienced Claims Consultant to join their team. This is a replacement role managing an existing portfolio of claims across a range of commercial and personal insurance lines.
The role offers the opportunity to take ownership of claims end-to-end, acting as a key advocate for clients while working closely with insurers, underwriters and internal broking teams to deliver timely and high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of claims from lodgement through to settlement
- Liaise with clients, brokers, insurers, underwriters and assessors
- Negotiate claims outcomes in the best interests of clients
- Gather and analyse information, prepare claims documentation and reports
- Keep clients informed throughout the claims process
- Maintain accurate records and meet compliance obligations
Skills & Experience
- 3+ years’ experience in a Claims role
- Strong understanding of insurance policies and claims processes
- Experience negotiating with insurers and third parties
- Knowledge of RG 271 (Internal Dispute Resolution)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
