An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Account Manager / Account Director to join a growing insurance brokerage and take ownership of a high-quality commercial portfolio.
This role is ideal for a technically strong broker who enjoys working closely with senior leadership, managing complex commercial clients and actively driving new business opportunities. You will play a key role in servicing and growing a focused book while contributing to the continued growth of the business.
  
About the Role
You will manage a portfolio of higher-end Commercial and Mid-Market clients , with exposure to risks across property, construction, liability and fleet. The role requires a broker who is comfortable maintaining strong client relationships while proactively developing new business opportunities and managing an active pipeline.
Working closely with senior leadership, you will support opportunity conversion and strategic account growth while delivering a high standard of technical broking advice and client service.
  
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and grow a commercial portfolio across property, liability, construction and fleet risks
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, insurers and key industry stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities within the portfolio to increase share of wallet and drive growth
  • Work closely with senior leadership to support new business pipelines and opportunity conversion
  • Deliver high-level technical broking advice and tailored insurance solutions
  • Negotiate terms with insurers and manage market relationships effectively
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal broking processes
  • Maintain accurate reporting and portfolio performance tracking
  • Collaborate with internal teams including claims and broking support staff
  
Skills & Experience
  • Significant experience in commercial or corporate insurance broking
  • Strong technical knowledge across property, ISR, liability, construction and fleet risks
  • Proven ability to manage a commercial portfolio and develop new business opportunities
  • Strong insurer relationships and market presence
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
  • Comfortable working closely with senior leadership in a high-performing environment
  • Proactive, commercially minded and confident driving growth initiatives
