The Role
- Manage end-to-end Australian payroll across approximately 850 employees
- Process fortnightly payroll cycles alongside a small monthly payroll
- Audit payroll data and reconcile outputs to ensure accuracy before finalisation
- Investigate discrepancies and resolve complex payroll issues autonomously
- Partner closely with Finance, Accounting and Tax stakeholders
- Liaise with an external managed payroll provider throughout each pay cycle
- Respond to payroll queries from employees, managers and senior stakeholders
- Support payroll testing, process improvements and other payroll-related initiatives as required
- Minimum 3 years’ hands-on end-to-end Australian payroll experience
- Strong knowledge of payroll reconciliations, PAYG, superannuation, payroll tax and STP
- Experience managing payroll within a medium to large employee population
- Confident communication skills with the ability to explain payroll matters clearly to stakeholders
- Experience with ADP or another managed payroll service provider
- Payroll transition experience or genuine Workday Payroll experience
- $500 per day + super
- 12-month assignment with an established global organisation
- WFH Monday and Friday, with the team together in the CBD Tuesday to Thursday
- Hands-on role focused on BAU payroll and complex problem solving
