My client is hiring a dynamic and experienced Regional Development Manager to lead their expansion efforts in Melbourne. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing, independent insurance group with a strong focus on specialty Commercial Property and Liability products. The role is ideal for a relationship-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced, strategic environment and is passionate about building broker partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with broker partners, associations, and cluster/umbrella groups.
  • Actively promote a suite of innovative insurance products through face-to-face meetings, webinars, PD days, expos, and conferences.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to support regional growth.
  • Collaborate closely with underwriting teams across multiple brands.
  • Support marketing initiatives and assist in launching new products to market.
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and broker needs to inform strategy.
  • Monitor broker performance and implement improvements to drive success.
  • Provide market intelligence feedback to internal stakeholders.
  • Lead and support regional team operations.
  • Contribute to the development of marketing and engagement strategies.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in relationship management within the insurance sector.
  • Strong understanding of the Queensland insurance market.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to unite teams and stakeholders toward common goals.
  • Solid knowledge of general insurance and regulatory frameworks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Current driver’s license and willingness to travel interstate and intrastate.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to manage pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Team-oriented with a proactive and responsible work ethic.
  • Confident decision-maker with adaptability in dynamic environments.
