Exciting Opportunity: Join my client as a Senior Construction Underwriter, offering expert advice and technical support within delegated authorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate risk for all quotation types, underwriting new business, renewals, endorsements, and adjustments.
- Analyze and resolve complex risks in line with underwriting guidelines.
- Issue quotes promptly and accurately.
- Maintain relationships with intermediaries through visits and effective communication.
- Respond to broker inquiries professionally and within service standards.
- Provide specialist advice on company products and services.
- Underwrite profitable business and monitor financial performance.
- Mentor staff on underwriting guidelines.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Contribute to continuous improvement processes.
- Minimum 5 years' insurance industry experience or relevant degree.
- Minimum 3 years' underwriting experience.
- Strong administration and interpersonal skills.
- Clear understanding of corporate objectives.
- Ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in Underwriter Central, Policy Wordings, Microsoft Outlook, and more.
- Study Assistance – completing further study through the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF). Completely funded, for all employees to complete Cert IV in General Insurance, Diploma, Tier 1 and Tier 2
