Job description

We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Account Manager to join our team in the Fortitude Valley, Brisbane, 4006. The ideal candidate will have a "hunter" mentality and be able to grow a new book of business by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities through warm leads and leveraged relationships. The Account Manager will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with clients and identifying their insurance needs, while also cross-selling and up-selling additional products.

The Role:
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow the book of business
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients and identify their insurance needs
  • Cross-sell and up-sell additional insurance products to clients
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams, such as underwriting, claims, and marketing, to ensure customer satisfaction and retention
  • Stay current with industry trends and regulations to provide clients with the best possible solutions

About You:
  • 5 years of business development or account management experience in general Insurance broking or underwriting (ideally with commercial insurance experience)
  • In depth technical knowledge of general insurance products;
  • Tier 1 Insurance Broking and/or Dip Fin Services (Insurance Broking);
  • Great communicator who is sales oriented and excellent in relationship -building skills who thrives on building long term pipelines to support business growth;
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills to ensure the best available client-centric outcomes; and
  • Highly skilled account management capability to meet tight deadlines, while working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
