The Company:
Our client is a well-established mid-market insurance brokerage who is highly regarded across the general insurance industry. They are currently seeking to appoint an Account Manager/Insurance Broker to focus on high end mid-market clients and service a variety of accounts across various industries. As a business they have a strong track record of success in mid-market insurance broking.

At a high level, we are searching for someone with a mixture of market facing skills and sound general insurance technical knowledge. The role will entail technical conversations with senior representatives from both client companies and experienced underwriters. The right person must be able to demonstrate the abilities to effectively service clients and also negotiate deals.
  
The Role:
As an Account Manager you will be reporting directly into the Account Director on the General Corporate team. You will be required to:

  • Deal with large real estate accounts and property groups, you must be able to demonstrate an ability to provide high level service and effective general insurance advice.

  • The team broadly looks after 10 major accounts, and this role would be responsible for 3 of those accounts.

  • Day to day your role will be focused on servicing these clients, liaising with key decision makers including CFO’s and Risk Managers.

  • You would also be involved in assisting with the insurance strategy for each of these businesses.

Skills and Experience:
We are seeking an experienced Account Manager who ideally has the below:

  • Proven experience in a Broking role in Account Management or a Property or Commercial Underwriting background. We would also be interested in hearing from a candidate with a mix of both.

  • Ability to maintain meaningful relationships with clients and understand the needs of the business on a technical level.

  • The right person needs to be strong across property and casualty classes but additionally needs to know all lines of commercial insurance.

  • Experience providing risk solutions is crucial for this role.

  • We need a clear communicator who is proactive and confident working across multiple large accounts at once.
