 Portfolio Specialist – Financial Lines Sydney or Remote (APAC)

About the Role:
Reporting to the Head of Customer Acquisition & Product, you will lead a suite of Financial Lines products and provide strong leadership within the Product Team. You will play a hands-on role in strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and end-to-end delivery of key initiatives. This role suits a senior product specialist with solid Financial Lines experience, confident leadership skills, and a proven ability to turn strategy into execution.


The Opportunity – Portfolio Specialist, Financial Lines:
 
  • Lead Financial Lines products, managing insurer relationships, product performance, and enhancements
  • Coordinate product delivery from scoping to release, including documentation and testing
  • Use data insights and industry feedback to drive product improvements and innovation
  • Monitor product metrics and report on outcomes with recommendations
  • Collaborate with technology, analytics, and operations teams on strategic changes
  • Support underwriting guideline development and ensure insurer compliance
  • Contribute to internal documentation and training materials
  • Assist with audits and maintain operational alignment across the business
About You We’re looking for someone with: 
 
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working with Financial Lines insurance products (PI, ML, D&O, Cyber) in either underwriting or broking.
  • Strong technical knowledge of financial lines product structures, performance, and insurer offerings.
  • Proven experience collaborating across technical and non-technical teams, including product, compliance, and tech delivery.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with strong time management and prioritisation skills.
  • Naturally detail-oriented, with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Exposure to or understanding of product lifecycle and delivery processes is highly regarded.
  • Experience leading or mentoring within teams.
Legal, claims, or underwriting backgrounds with strong product experience will be considered.
