The Role

Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, the key responsibility of this role is to manage the Credit Control and AP functions, ensuring best practice, team development and minimal debtors - with a strong focus on customer service to internal and external stakeholders. Functions include, but are not limited to:
 
  • Directing and supervising the activities of the Credit Control function, ensuring timely collection of outstanding amounts and the maintenance of outstanding debts at acceptable levels
  • Managing Accounts Payable function, including approval of payments and ensuring allocation of expenses to correct budget account
  • Acting as an escalation point for more complicated functions related to Accounts Payable and/or Credit Control
  • Performing month end accounting procedures and producing weekly, fortnightly, monthly and quarterly reports as required
  • Reviewing procedures to ensure efficiency of operation
  • Continually training and developing staff in order to maintain and improve the efficiency of functions
