The Role:


Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will be responsible for overseeing the collection of premiums. Lead and manage a team to achieve KPI’s specific to the credit control function. There will also be a hands on component to the role requiring premium allocations:
  • Directing and supervising the activities of the Credit Control function, ensuring timely collection of outstanding amounts and the maintenance of outstanding debt at acceptable levels
  • Managing Accounts Payable function, including approval of payments and ensuring allocation of expenses to correct budget account
  • Acting as an escalation point for more complicated functions related to Accounts Payable and Credit Control
  • Performing month end accounting procedures and producing weekly, fortnightly, monthly and quarterly reports as required
  • Reviewing procedures to ensure efficiency of operation
  • Continually training and developing staff in order to maintain and improve the efficiency of functions
  • Maintaining Customer Service Standards for internal and external stakeholders
  • Leading and supporting all process improvements related to Credit Control and Accounts Payable
  • Liaising and working with the projects team for implementation of new systems and related processes
    Your knowledge, skills & attributes
Experience & Skills:
  • 5 years of experience in credit control and at least 1 year experience in a leadership role
  • Insurance experience is a MUST
  • Excellent people and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working on Insurance systems- Winbeat, Eglobal, UPM 2
  • Strong administration and team management skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Negotiation and interpersonal skills
