  • Work with a leader in the insurance space - supportive culture and comprehensive training – well suited for a recent Grad who is part qualified or interested in completing their CPA/CA qualification.
  •  $65,000 + super pending on experience (with a 15% bonus), 12% super and multiple lifestyle grants.
  • Flexible work environment - Scope for 2 day’s work from home after training. Modern CBD based office, close to public transport.
 
 Your New Role
  
As a Graduate Accountant you will be joining a tight knit and collaborative team and will be responsible for onshore accounting matters relating to the operation and service of the company. Your responsibilities include:
  
  • Assist the finance team by allocating premium collections, resolving enquires, expediting collections/reducing aged receivables, preparing credit reports, process monthly supplier/employee payments.
  • Ensure all internal technical reports are prepared in a timely and accurate manner, prepare ledger entries in relation to expenses, accruals, cash, premiums etc
  • Compile and prepare BAS submissions for the ATO (quarterly)
  • Communicate and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders globally (Aus, London, Singapore etc).
  • Ad-hoc tasks as required.
  
What you’ll need to succeed  
   
  • Ideal for a recent graduate who is hungry and keen to develop long term within the accounting/ insurance space.
  • Have a strong desire to complete CA/CPA Qualification
  • Good excel skills and understanding of accounting/finance principles (desirable to have some internship/accounting work experience but not necessary)
  • Proactive, ‘can do’ attitude – detail oriented and keen to refine and develop their foundational skills.
