Working alongside the claims and operations team you will be assisting the company's overseas customers who are experiencing medical issues:
- Liaising with customers and medical providers to understand medical condition and if the customer is covered under their travel insurance policy
- Understanding medical terminology and determining policy coverage
- Communicating with overseas medical professionals and the company's inhouse doctors to evaluate medical assistance requirements and to provide them with further information and clarity around medical terminology
- Working hand-in-hand with the inhouse claims and customer service team to assist the customer
- Coordinate and manage the ongoing care of overseas customers
- Provide ad-hoc training and expertise to the team
- Prior medical experience, including but not limited to nursing, medical secretary or medical receptionist (from overseas or Australia)
- A strong understanding of medical terminology
- Prior experience in insurance is preferred but not necessary
- French-speaking candidates highly regarded but not necessary
- Strong team work and ability to coordinate
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
