A specialist Underwriting Agency dedicated to the provision of Insurance solutions, delivering innovative cover and high-quality service. Meeting the needs for the rapidly evolving market, this company is now looking to broaden their underwriting team.


Responsibilities:

As a motor underwriter you will be responsible for new business, renewals and a variety of administration duties. 

Some key tasks as an Underwriter includes:

• Quoting of new business and re-rating renewal and processing
• Underwrite risks within a delegated authority (and making recommendations to higher authority)
• Processing policy alterations and endorsements
• Build and maintain broker rapport
• Policy document and e-file creation
• Assisting the team with day to day tasks
• Answering telephone and responding to email enquires within SLA’s
• Ability to be flexible and adaptive
• Where possible, assist Underwriting Manager with broker meetings
• Compliance focus, work within process manuals and guideline

 
 
 
Ideal Skills & experience:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Underwriting
• Strong understanding of compliance requirements in General Insurance
• A strong customer service focus with experience in intermediated distribution channels
• Exceptional communication and numeracy skills with high attention to detail
• High levels of resilience and ability to multi task
• A General Insurance qualification will be highly regarded or working towards completing one.
