The Position:
As a Senior Claims Assessor in the Retail Claims team, you can expect to be performing the following tasks:
- Managing and assessing a portfolio of Retail IP claims
- Supervising and mentoring claims consultants
- Manage technically complex claims
- Reference point for technical or escalated claims;
- General claims management tasks such as liaison with doctors, rehabilitation providers, legal professionals and advisers, and initiating claims investigations.
About You:
You must be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- A minimum of 2+ years experience assessing Income Protection [IP] claims within Life Insurance;
- Experience in Retail claims is highly regarded
- Background in Allied Health or Rehabilitation
- A flair for training, mentoring and coaching others
- Strong technical capacity across both IP lines.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
