The Company:
Our client is a large finance company with broking arm which runs in the business that they have a team looking after insurance risks for clients of the company. They are looking for a Team Leader to look after this team. This broking team spealisies in SME business in general insurance. We are seeking an all rounder who is comfortable client facing but this role will be predominately management and looking after the team and business needs including training, risk and compliance and auditing.
The ideal candidate will be looking to take the step into leadership, we are looking for a highly organised individual with attention to detail when it comes to understanding the clients needs and wants and the compliance from a business perspective as well as being willing with their time and training and developing a team of junior brokers.

The Role:
As a Team Leader you will be required to:
  • Develop and service a commercial book of clients and support the team with delegating who these clients will sit with.
  • Day to Day you will be focusing on team KPIs and support, compliance and risk of the business and making sure the systems are running effectively for the team.
  • This is a general portfolio of business, market awareness and insurer relationships are crucial.
  • Comfortable with high touch point relationships, attention to detail and placing value on internal process.
  • Respond to new business enquiries and proactively be looking for new opportunities through referrals
  • Engage in the wider leadership team, provide thought leadership, host and engage in collaboration sessions with your team. 
Skills and Experience:
We are seeking a Team Leader with the following skills and experience for the role:
  • Proven experience in a broking role in the insurance space. We are seeking a confident senior account manager with excellent people management skills and ideally management experience even in a mentoring capacity. 
  • Technical verbal and written language with high emotional intelligence to connect and understand clients potential pain points and risks.
  • Confident managing high volume work.
  • Crucial that you are knowledgeable across all lines of insurance.
  • Thorough new business process in prospecting and engaging new clients. 
  • Time-Management, ability to manage certain broking duties ontop of team management. 
  • Proven track record of meeting KPIs and delegating duties throughout the team.
  • Emotional intelligence to engage with the team according to their management style and ability to hold accountability for the team and drive their success and identify areas for upskilling and training.
