Your New Role
  
As a finance officer, you will be reporting into the finance manager. Your main duties will be to:
  

• Receipting payments, handling insurance claim payments/enquiries
• Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
• Assist with end of month deliverables, including:
• Maintenance of fixed assets register.
• Expense analysis
• Journal posting.
• Resolving broker queries, etc.
• Monthly general ledger reconciliations
• Weekly bank reconciliations
• Ad-hoc payroll assistance
• Banking administration
• Assist with cashflow and treasury functions.
• Assist with annual budgeting, internal and external audits, and other reporting as required.
• Provide admin support and perform other duties as deemed appropriate.

   
What you’ll need to succeed  
  

• 2- 5 years accounting experience
• Good excel skills and previous experience with ERP software (MYOB is a nice to have)
• Previous experience within the insurance space is HIGHLY desirable.
• Proactive, ‘can do’ attitude – detail oriented and energetic. Someone who is able to identify issues and resolve problems.
