The Role
As a Payroll Officer, your duties will include, but not be limited to
- Process payroll weekly for contractors and monthly for permanent staff
- Timely and accurate processing of allocated payroll/s including checking critical payroll data.
- Provide payroll customer service to contractors via email
- Assisting with all end of financial year reports
- Maintain confidential employee records, filing, and archive systems are maintained to ensure legislative compliance and information integrity
- Ensure all areas of payroll are processed in line with legislation and company policy
- Immediate start working from home with training in the office
- Temporary role - keep yourself busy!
- Flexible hours
- Work in a senior and stand-alone payroll position that would look great on your CV
- Proven payroll management experience in a high volume environment
- MicroPay experience is essential with extensive experience on the system
- Proven understanding of payroll tax legislation and an ability to interpret relevant awards and enterprise agreements
- Advanced excel skills
- The ability to meet deadlines and work within a fast-paced environment whilst balancing competing tasks
