My client is a national insurance brokerage based out of Melbourne CBD with offices nationally around Australia. We are looking for a vibrant, energetic and eager individual to start their career in the insurance broking space. This brokerage specializes in general insurance, looking after companies in all different industries and sizes from SME through to corporate clients. Due to exciting growth we are looking for an Assistant Account Executive to join the team. If you have vibrant personality and love working with people and problem solving this might be the role for you.
Your duties can include:
  • - Assistance with a senior account manager on their day-to-day servicing of a portfolio of business.
  • - Assist with pre-renewals, renewals and general insurance enquiries for clients.
  • - Broking support work which includes database management, emails and correspondence with insurers on policies among other adhoc duties.
  • - Attend client meetings alongside account managers.
  • - Processing adjustments.
  • - Develop your product and general insurance knowledge which may include attending conferences, training sessions within the team and going though the process of acquiring your Tier 1 in insurance broking.
We are looking for a willing, dedicated individual. The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
  • - Great organization skills to work through high volume work and prioritize tasks accordingly.
  • - Effective communication
  • - Inquisitive mindset, this role will require learning new skills and develop overtime so the willingness to ask questions and learn is essential.
  • - Ability to build rapport with external and internal stakeholders.
  • - Ability to work with strict deadlines and manage your time effectively around this.
  • - Open to candidates with corporate experience looking for a change in career or who are interested in pursuing a career.
