Due to entering peak, they are seeking a Rebates & Claims Officer to join their high-performing finance team for 3 months with a view to extend.

The Role
Reporting to the Management Accountant and working closely with the wider finance and sales teams, this role is responsible for overseeing rebate and promotional deal claims across various business units.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing end-to-end processing of rebate and promotional deal claims across multiple business areas
  • Reviewing and validating claims in line with approved deal terms and supporting sales data
  • Entering rebate details into internal systems (JDE) and generating credit notes following approval
  • Supporting the deal approval workflow through the GPM system to ensure accurate and timely processing
  • Preparing weekly journal entries and assisting with month-end close and reporting tasks
  • Reconciling customer claims with trade spend records and making accrual adjustments as needed
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and audit trails to support all calculations and processes
  • Assisting with ad hoc reporting and performing data reconciliations across the finance function
  • Collaborating with the Credit team to ensure efficient and timely claims processing
  • Identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance process efficiency and accuracy
Location: Macquarie Park – Parking available + close to public transport
Rate: $35–$40 per hour + Super | Paid weekly
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm (flexibility to work from home a couple of days)

You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a finance, credit, or claims processing environment
  • Strong Excel skills (intermediate to advanced), with comfort working with large datasets
  • A keen eye for detail and well-developed analytical and numeracy skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Experience using ERP systems such as JDE or similar (highly regarded)
  • A relevant qualification in accounting or finance (preferred but not essential)
