- Salary: $77k + super.
- Review and assess travel insurance claims, including trip cancellations, delays, lost baggage, medical emergencies, and other covered events.
- Investigate claim circumstances, including interviewing claimants, witnesses, and service providers.
- Verify documentation, request additional information, and determine claim validity.
- Estimate financial losses and provide detailed reports to support claim decisions.
- Guide and mentor Level 1 assessors, providing training and technical advice.
- Collaborate with underwriting, emergency assistance, and other internal teams on complex claims.
- Manage urgent emergency assistance claims, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain accurate claim records.
- Communicate claim outcomes clearly and professionally, ensuring a positive policyholder experience.
Skills and Experience
- 2 + years’ experience in claims handling is required, preferably in the travel or insurance industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of insurance principles and regulatory standards.
